Why I purchased it:
I purchased a nice bypass pruner and I wanted a pocket tool sharpener to go with it. This sharpener was favorably reviewed and heavily discounted.

My Review:
It works, though for the life of me I can’t quite convince myself that I’m using it properly. The edge setting side definitely works, I used it successfully to sharpen an old pair of scissors as a test and I could easily see the difference it made. The sharpener is somewhat lightweight and prior to opening it doesn’t exactly scream high quality. Speaking of opening it, the cap is a bit of a snug fit, you pretty much have to rock it to get it to come off. Reviewers mentioned that this loosens up with use but this hasn’t happened for me so far, which I suppose could be considered a good thing since that also means that the cap won’t just fall off unexpectedly. The orange coloration is more faded in reality and is part of a rubberized section to help hold on to the tool. Mine didn’t come with any useful sort of instructions so you may have to look up using a sharpener like I did.

Pros:
* appropriately sized
* rubberized coating really does help with holding on to the tool
* very affordable

Cons:
* instructions are lacking
* the snug fit of the cap may prove difficult for some folks
